Abby Cerino

Fox Walkers Youth Program Instructor

Abby is a lover of the wild and long time teacher and mentor of youth. Originally from Pennsylvania, she moved West looking for her mountain home in 2007, which she found in Nevada County. Living and growing in relationship with the land here for the past 13 years, she eagerly shares her passion for nature, plants, earth skills, and personal development with the youth she serves.

Abby is a lifelong student of nature, hiking, camping, snowboarding and fishing from a young age. The field behind the home she grew up in is one of her first teachers. She honors all of the teachers along her path that have supported her journey thus far.

Abby studied at the Tracker School in 2017. She studied herbalism with Tellur Fenner of The Blue Wind School of Botanical Studies, Kathi Keville of the Green Medicine Herb School, The Human Path, and Amy Branum of Northern California School of Botanical Studies. She graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelors Degree in Philosophy, Minor in History. She received her Single Subject Social Science and Multiple Subject Credentials from Humboldt State University. She is currently pursuing a Masters in Counseling with an Ecotherapy Certificate at Southwestern College.
