Our newest shirt design by Lipan Apache artist Isela Villarreal is an homage to both Tom Brown Jr and Grandfather Stalking Wolf. The background features the tall pine trees and blueberry bushes of the Pine Barrens in New Jersey, where our beloved Primitive Camp lives. A coyote walks through water, with its reflection depicted as a wolf.
The Reflection, the wolf, represents Grandfather Stalking Wolf, whose teachings all those years ago so inspired Tom Brown Jr, the White Coyote, that he dedicated his life to passing on Grandfather’s teachings.
We, students of Grandfather and Tom, are also the coyote in this design, as we strive to reflect Grandfather’s teachings, given to us by Tom, of care and relationship with Mother Earth and all things upon Her.

Artist: Isela Villarreal, an enrolled member of the Lipan Apache Tribe of Texas, is a 17 year old artist who lives in Maryland and has been attending 4 Elements Earth Education programs since she was 12 years old.
